Things left in the sand

Everything you need to know about the event, dropped on the beach where we found it.

Make Something Strange.

There are no tracks. Build the thing you have been putting off, and bring it to the beach.

Things people ask

Who can come?

Any high school student, from anywhere. Ninth grade through twelfth, and you do not have to be studying anything technical. If you have already graduated, this one is not for you, but come and mentor.

Do I need a team?

No. Teams form on Saturday morning and cap at four. Plenty of people turn up on their own and leave with three friends.

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Designers, writers, musicians and total beginners are wanted here. There are workshops at midday for people starting from zero.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Food, coffee and floor space are on us. Bring a laptop, a charger and a signed parent form if you are under 18.

Where exactly?

South Florida. The venue is signed in September and it gets posted here first.

What should I bring?

Laptop, charger, a hoodie for 3am, and whatever hardware you want to take apart.
